Lions Tour Second Test

Man, what a week's it's been.

After the amazing victory at Durban, the Springboks were riding high, but the resurgent Lions were lurking, and it was all to play for coming up to Loftus.

But first, we took some sidetrips:

Mango and the Luggage

SAA by any other name still smells as foul. Imagine losing more than half your tour group's luggage on arrival in Cape Town, then taking almost three days to get it to you. IDIOTS. My group took it on the chin, thank goodness for the Southern Sun Waterfront's unlimited beer supply. Sarah's camera got stolen, Pete's luggage took three days to get to him and Oom Pete had his Lions fleece stolen. Bastards, thanks for the good PR South Africa.

WET CAPE TOWN

I'm lucky my group saw the sunny side of Cape Town two weeks ago, cause this week was a doozy. We had thunderstorms, freezing cold and generally the kind of weather that saw them cancel most activities outside. A lot of drinking was done. The KUDU group are really gelling, and we got us some caps for the rest of the trip.

LOFTUS

Finally, match day arrived. We were nervous, there was palpable excitement in the air. The match started badly for the Boks, but we pulled it through in the end watched by a sea or red - Loftus was never this impartial on a game day, it was a weird first experience. I was elated to win the series, and the winning scores were right in front of us - SWEEETTT - but I was gutted for my group, cause I've really come to love these guys and have embraced the Lions tour spirit.

Congratulations Kudus - good tourists and good sports, I'm looking forward to Sun City.

I haven't had this much fun since GV!
