It's Spring in Cape Town! This means schizophrenic weather as we go from awesome sunny days to miserable wintery rainy dogshows, but hey, there's a lot of cool stuff still do in and around my town, to wit:
1. Go see some whales! Or a shark! Dive with one! I can hook you up!
2. Go watch the rugby. Drink beer like a boer. Learn how to chant PROVVINNNCEEE.
3. Go on a wine tour. Swirl your Chardonnay anti-clockwise. Say things like "fruity bouquet".
4. Visit the Point. And the Penguins. And the Peak. It's all about the P's...
5. Climb the mountain! Lions Head is the coolest hike, but Table Mountain is not to be missed... weather permitting...
I plan to do some other cool stuff this spring, like attend the Pinotage on Tap in Wellington (Chocolate fountains! Live Bands! Unlimited supplies of chocolate Pinotage!) and head out to the annual Afrikaans Music Festival in Vredendal. It's an absolute hoot and the best party of the year. Welcome to my life...
