Rugby Newlands 26 September

Awesome crowd of backpackers? Check.

Wet cold weather, but determined crew cheer on Province to massive victory? Check.

Garage braai, support by mates and gorgeous Texan. Check.

An assortment of Brits, Yanks, some Frenchies, Canadians and even the stray Kiwi (Shane, you are a true Maori bro) teamed up to form the united nations of rugby lovers and brave rain, storm and tears to experience rugby at Newlands like true fans. That means we got soaking wet, but nothing that a double brandy and Coke can't fix!

Thanks Blue Mountain, Carnival Court, Ashanti and Long Street Backpackers for the support... and Karla for the salad, James for the braai, Fico for braai support (a crucial role) and Dianna for being the hostess with the mostest.

We had a blast. Only one more game for the regular season (3 October vs Boland, R375 gets you your hot seat with PG TOPS), but with Province top of the log we are looking at a home semi-final on 17 October. Watch this space, it's going to be LEGEN.... Wait for it... DARY!!!!!
