DADDY YEAR END PARTY

The crowd from Indigo Properties, Revolution, GrandDaddy, Daddy Long Legs, Daddy Cool, and the coming soon in Elgin MacDaddy were all there for the yearend bash that Tech Gardens Rugby/Cricket Club will never forget...

What started as a brainstorming session over a few beers with he's-the-devil Francois von Binsbergen, turned into a helluva party. By the time we had done, they drank the bar virtually dry, we had shot three movies with full crowd participation, and there was a qiuz hosted by Quintin from the Fireman's Arms... sort of. It's all a blur there towards the end?

Who won the best movie? Here's the three final cuts, with producer documentary underneath...

TOKELOSHE MAAKIEBANGIE

Clean production. Little editing required, and solid camerawork. The creative team kinda overpowered me in the studio, but the final result was the sleekest of the lot.

BAFANA

These guys shot a lot of footage and had a hell of a time doing it, and gave me the most promising production sheet. Time constraints and technical issues, however, left the final production short of what it could have been. A for effort to these guys!

THE TIGER WOODS STORY

Admittedly, my personal favourite. Shot in devastatingly lateral technicolor, this movie might need some neck cranking to watch, but it was funny, topical and brought a tear to the eye with its moral message (don't mess with Tiger's wife, she knows a guy).

Thanks Daddys... it was a blast!
